What Notion Calendar is

Notion Calendar is Notion's calendar app, launched from the product that used to be Cron. It shows events from calendars you connect, and it can show dates that live on a Notion database, such as a due date on a task. It is not the same object as a calendar view inside a Notion database. The in-page calendar view only shows rows from that database. Notion Calendar is the app that puts those dates next to the rest of your schedule.

The search notion calendar is mostly this product. If you only need a week of tasks, a weekly planner database with a calendar view is the smaller setup. Use Notion Calendar when the missing piece is 'what is already on my Google calendar that day.'

What has to be true for a date to show up

The database needs a Date property. A text field that says 'Friday' will not appear. The calendar has to be allowed to read that database. Events you create in Notion Calendar can be written back to the connected calendar, which is why a shared work calendar should be connected on purpose, not by default.

Billing for the calendar follows your Notion plan. Check pricing if a connection is gated. The product page is the current list of connections.

How to set it up

1. Add a Date property. On the database you want to see, use Date, not a select named 'day'.
2. Connect one calendar. Start with the calendar you actually plan against. Add others after a week of use.
3. Turn on one database. A task database or a bill scheduler. Not every page in the workspace.
