A content calendar is a database of things you will publish. A sample content calendar shows rows, not a theory of marketing. Use Title, Channel (the site, a newsletter, a social account), Publish date, Status (idea, drafting, scheduled, published), and Owner. A notion content calendar is that database with a calendar view on the publish date.
Color is not a status. If the only signal is a green dot, the page fails when someone cannot see color. Keep the status property. Filter the weekly planner or this calendar to 'scheduled this week' when you want the work, not the archive.
Build versus collect
Searches for build a content calendar usually mean filling the next two to four weeks, not designing a brand system. Put real publish dates on real titles. A month of empty 'post something' rows is not a calendar. Short video scripts can live on the reels planner and link here by the publish date.
