What Degree Navigator refers to
Degree Navigator, and the shorter search degree nav, is the name of the degree-audit tool used at many colleges. It applies the catalog rules to the courses on your record and shows what is finished, in progress, or still open. This site is not that login. Your school's audit is the record that matters at graduation.
A worksheet still helps, because the audit is awkward to annotate. Copy each unmet requirement into a database: requirement name, credits, the course you plan to use, and status (done, enrolled, planned, open). The four-year plan is where those planned courses land on a term.
How to keep the worksheet honest
After grades post, update status from the official audit, not from memory. A requirement marked done here and open on the audit is a problem you want in the same term, not at the graduation check. If a course can fill two requirements, write the one the audit actually used.
Questions
- Is this the Degree Navigator login?
- No. Degree Navigator is software your college runs. Sign in through your school. This page is a worksheet you can keep beside that audit.
- What should I copy from the audit?
- Unmet requirements, the credit value, and any course the audit already applied. Leave finished requirements off the working view so the open list stays short.
