Sample courses. Meeting time is a fact. Homework lives in the assignment tracker.
Two databases, not one crowded page
A student planner, collegiate planner, or planner for students has to answer two questions: when does this course meet, and what is due. Those are different rows. Keep a Courses database (name, meeting days, room, instructor) and an assignment tracker that relates each assignment to a course. A notion planner search is often this pair of databases.
A homework planner (hw planner) is the assignment view filtered to this week. A digital student planner is the same page on a phone: fewer properties visible, the due date first. If you qualify, the education plan removes the free-plan upload cap for a one-member workspace.
What not to track
Do not log every lecture slide. Log the course, the next due date, and the next study session. A planner that is also a note archive becomes neither. Class notes have their own page.
Questions
- What should a student planner include?
- Course name, meeting time, location, and a linked list of assignments with due dates. Grades can live on the assignment, not on the course, until the term ends.
- Is a course planner template different?
- A course planner is the single-course view: meetings plus that course's assignments. Filter the same databases. Do not build a new template per class.
