Group by the store, not by the recipe
A grocery list template, grocery shopping list template, or template shopping list is the list you carry in the store. Group items by aisle or section: produce, dairy, dry goods, household. A list grouped by recipe makes you walk the store three times. Check items off. When the trip is over, archive or delete the checked rows so next week starts empty.
If you have a meal planner, the list should come from those dishes plus staples you are out of. A budget category for groceries is the dollar amount, not the items.
Quantities
Write the amount you need to buy, not the amount the recipe uses across the year. 'Lentils, 1 bag' is a shopping line. A pantry inventory is a different database and most people do not keep it current. Skip it until you actually open it.

- What columns does a grocery list need?
- Item, aisle or section, and a checkbox. Quantity if you would otherwise guess wrong. A price column is optional and usually abandoned.
